Locum’s Nest Featured in FT1000 Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies 2021

Mar 2021

It’s sometimes difficult to celebrate certain victories in life with this year and last being no exception. The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in so much suffering and angst across so many people’s lives. For those of you who have spoken to me over the past year you undoubtedly will have heard me waffle on about how fortunate we’ve felt being in the healthcare technology space – as a company we’ve really come together and sharpened our focus on what is really important, our partners across the NHS.

Yes, whilst it’s true that we are a commercial organisation and yes, we have been backed by institutional investors, it’s important to remember that these are all people who are singing on the same hymn sheet as us – people who value growth in a transparent and ethical way over an aggressively profitable way. Right from the very beginning when Nick and I founded Locum’s Nest from a hospital in South London, our focus has been on not just growth, but sustainable growth. We wanted every new partner that joined us to feel special and as though they had our undivided attention as a company, allowing us to grow with them, rather than as a result of them.

At Locum’s Nest, we’re all incredibly proud to be recognised by the Financial Times, it’s a fantastic landmark as well as a token of our financial growth and stability for our customers. The FT1000 Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies is the result of a joint project by the Financial Times and Statista, which conducted months of research, public calls, intensive database research and directly contacted tens of thousands of companies. The report recognises the companies that are the driving forces of the European economy, and focuses on organic and fast growth as well as innovation within Europe (full list available here: //www.ft.com/content/8b37a92b-15e6-4b9c-8427-315a8b5f4332 ).

It brings me great pleasure to be recognised as one of Europe’s fastest growing companies but even greater pleasure when we all take a step back, look at how we’ve got to where we are and the people that helped us along the way. Thank you.
